Which companies are subject to the Sarbanes- Oxley Act?

Recordkeeping provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act apply to all U.S. public companies and public accounting firms regardless of size. The Act also applies to foreign accounting firms, including those that perform audit work for foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies.
